Rights as Members: Once a member of the Mexico Country Club, you are an owner, too. Certain types of membership, excluding associate memberships, will have one household vote and the potential for one household member to hold postion on the Board of Directors. Memberships are also considered family-based; children of the membership household 18 years of age or younger are considered members as well as full-time undergraduate students.
Per the type of membership you elect to maintain, those specified amentities of the club are available to you. For example, a full member has access to all meeting and event spaces free of charge, access to our pool, restaurant, bar, and golf course.
Membership Account: Our billing cycle starts on the 21st of each calendar month and ends on the 20th of the following month. Upon receipt of your statement each month, you will have until the 10th of the following month to submit payment. You may pay by check or credit card-with the option there to have your credit card information retained in the club office for automatic payment (you will then receive your statement with credit card receipt).
Dues Adjustments: Annually, there is a general membership meeting when all areas of membership are addressed. There will always be a possibility membership dues may be increased. These decisions will only be made per the general membership and will be communicated with general membership accordinly.
Reservations: Private clubs do not serve as large a customer base as most establishments. Also, we provide special attention and service to our guests. Reservations are not required, but greatly appreciated so we can ensure the experience will be splendid.
Use of Gathering and Meeting Areas: All of the smart spaces within the four walls at the Mexico Country Club are available to all memberships. There are not charges incurred; the only thing we need in advance is planning details. If you are to be associated with a special event, gathering, or meeting, but it is being hosted by a third party, the intial room charges are reduced by 50% due to sponsorship of a member. See our event spaces page for more details.
18% Gratuity: Unless otherwise noted, there will be 18% added on to individual visits' bills. The Mexico Country Club elected to offer our associates a higher base pay in order to lock in those individuals in our community that are capable of providing the best service in town. Additional gratuity is neither expected nor required. If you feel you have had an above-your-expcetations experience and would like to provide additional gratuity, simply fill it in on your ticket.
Employee Christmas Fund: Each year in November, your household will receive a reminder of the Employee Christmas Fund. This is a tradition of the MCC and is an added benefit for our staff. You will be asked to fill in the names of what staff members you would like to reward for their hard work and effort and by what amount. This will come with your Novemeber statement and will include a current list of MCC staff.
Improvement & Tax Charges: If there is a large structural improvement to the clubhouse or grounds that is proposed, there will always be communication to membership regarding the proposal or decision. All members of the Mexico Country Club, like most private clubs, are owners whose memberships will benefit from improvements made to the MCC.
There is one permanent annual assessment for personal property taxes that is applied to members' accounts each September in the amount of $75.00.
